Art Studio 760 is thrilled to announce that enrollment is now open for our brand-new Homeschool and Afterschool Art Classes, designed specifically for students in grades K-12. This is a unique opportunity for both homeschool and afterschool parents to enrich their children’s education with a fun, creative, and educational art program that goes beyond traditional art classes.
Our art program is not just about creating beautiful art; it’s about exploring the world of art through history, encouraging students to see, think, and create in innovative ways. Led by Massachusetts certified Art teacher, Susan Keefe, M.Ed., B.F.A., the creator of the Time Machine Art Explorers Curriculum, our classes blend creativity with a deep understanding of art history.
What Makes Our Homeschool Program Unique?
The Time Machine Art Explorers Curriculum is a one-of-a-kind program that takes students on a journey through time, exploring different art movements, materials, and techniques from various periods in history. Our classes meet the Massachusetts Art Education standards and are tailored to suit the individual needs of each student, ensuring that every child can grow and develop their artistic skills in a supportive environment.
Program Highlights:
Art Exploration: Students will dive into drawing, painting, printmaking, and 3D sculpture while learning about famous artists and art movements.
Small Group Lessons: Our classes are small, allowing for personalized attention and instruction.
Interactive Learning: With tools like the Art Studio Time Machine, students can travel through time, exploring different art periods and cultures in an immersive and engaging way.
Flexible Schedules for Busy Families
We understand that every family’s schedule is different, which is why we offer flexible class times:
Homeschool Classes: Choose between Tuesdays or Thursdays, 1-3 pm.
Afterschool Classes: Available Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays from 4-6 pm.
A “Real” Time Machine Experience
Imagination is at the heart of our curriculum. Younger students will love using the Art Studio Time Machine to “travel” to new places with their passports in hand, while older students will be immersed in a transformed studio environment that reflects the monthly theme. The experience is enhanced with travel-themed resources, including maps, travel guides, and art history timelines, making learning both fun and educational.
Cross-Curricular Connections
We believe in supporting the whole child, which is why we work with parents to make seamless connections between our art lessons and your child’s overall homeschooling curriculum. This personalized approach ensures that each student’s artistic journey complements their broader educational goals.
